We are extremely grateful to have Sis. Chasity McDonald teaching at LCA! She’s doing a tremendous job.
We recently interviewed her, and here’s what she had to say:
Q: What do you want to be doing in five years?
Q: What interests do you peruse outside of the classroom?
A: Sewing, reading, and church.
Q: When did you decide to become a teacher and why did you choose this field?
A: Two weeks before school started, I had been praying about working at the school, and I told the Lord that if it was his will for me to work at the school then have them ask me, which they did.
Q: What is your favorite subject to teach?
A: Math. I’ve always liked math and it was my favorite subject in school.
Q: What do you like about teaching?
A: I like to see students learn new things.
Q: What is the most difficult aspect of teaching?
A: Holding a first grader’s attention.
Q: If most of your students failed a test… how would you respond?
A: I would reteach it.
Q: What do you enjoy reading?
A: Suspense, Christian romance
Q: What’s your least favorite aspect of teaching?
The long hours away from my family.
